Growing Creation Farm

Our name says it all, for this is our growing creation. We bought our land in SW Colorado at the end of 2019 with the idea that we would use it to escape the hot Arizona summers from where we had been living for almost 25 years. Then 2020 hits and we all remember those days all too well. So as the world shut down and we were limited to go places, we brought our little camper to our little slice of Colorado. We spent that first summer (2020) just getting the most important necessity put in (water). As we traveled back and forth, to camp and work, we started to fall deeply in love with the land we had become stewards of. Our mindset went from using it as a cool getaway to let’s move permanently and start a new chapter.

We had been doing the same old grind for years. Working at our construction company, chasing the dollar, so to speak. My husband in charge of the day-to-day schedule and grueling work, and me doing all the office responsibilities and bookkeeping. We had spent 20 years growing our concrete construction company and had carved out a nice life for ourselves. Although business was booming my husband’s health was being affected, physically and mentally.
